Burnaby North - Seymour Doorknocking Continues

September 03, 2019

Lindsay Shepherd joins Heather Leung's doorknocking team. Yes - That Lindsay Shepherd!

For those few of you who don't know or can't recall the details, Lindsay Shepherd was the Teaching Assistant from Wilfrid Laurier University who stood up to liberal-leftist faculty members who tried to haul her on the carpet for not vilifying psychologist Dr. Jordan Peterson. Get this - she was teaching a communications tutorial and played a couple of video clips of Dr. Peterson's comments on Bill C-16, the 2017 law that adds "gender identity or expression" as a prohibited ground for discrimination to the Canadian Human Rights Act and as an identifiable group to the Criminal Code. These faculty members tried to suppress open inquiry in the university environment and really wanted to suppress free speech. Lindsay recorded the interview and later released this recording. An independent fact-finder hired by the university reported that the meeting should never have taken place. When Lindsay asked what students had "complained about her", she found out that "no formal complaint, nor informal concern relative to a Laurier policy" had been registered, and that Shepherd had done nothing wrong by showing the clips.

Lindsay is an Author, currently publishing a biweekly column.

Lindsay is 3rd from the right in this picture, standing between Travis Trost, Campaign Manager, and Melissa Mitchell, Volunteer Coordinator.

Melissa, aided by Board member Dr. Graham Darling and a dedicated team of volunteers, have been conducting a doorknocking campaign 6 days a week, usually accompanied by Heather Leung herself (below at left) and will continue to do so until e-day.

E-day is affectionately known as GOTV-day - "Get Out The Vote!"
